Why does the Segway S-Plus have a speed limit? Does it need to be activated?
You can activate the new Segway S-PLUS by using the Ninebot App. The speed will be limited to 7km/h and turn around slowly. The speed limit will be canceled by the APP after the mileage reach 1km, finish the new rider tutorials.
Why is there some dust on my new Segway S-Plus? It seems like someone rode it before.
Each unit is tested by our staff prior to shipping to make sure that the quality standards are met. Thus, some traces indicating prior use may appear on the foot pad and wheel. It is not a quality issue; the mileage would be reset to zero after testing.
Can the Segway S-Plus be turned on while charging?
The Segway S-Plus cannot be turned on or used while charging. Doing so could cause damage in both the charger and the body.
Is the ride affected when the temperature is low?
The temperature can affect the ride. Battery power output is 100% at 25 °C. When the temperature is 0°C, the battery discharge power is only about 80% at 25°C. So, the temperature is related to the ride directly more than the power of the ride. In the relatively low temperature it is easy to crash. Drive gently and do not speed up instantly for your own safety.
Can the battery on the Segway S-Plus be disassembled?
The battery cannot be disassembled privately without losing the warranty. The interior circuits would be exposed and there could be high voltage in it because of disassembly. You would risk to encounter an electric shock due to a damage in the interior circuit.
How waterproof is the Segway S-Plus?
IP54 for unit, IPx6 for battery assembly (resistant to dust, water, spill). Dustproof: Foreign material is prevented from getting inside the vehicle. The amount of dust that can get inside the Segway miniPLUS will have no effect on the functioning of the unit’s boards. Waterproof: Cannot prevent water from getting in at all, therefore; do not wash it with water directly but use a wet cloth to clean your vehicle instead. Do not ride the vehicle or minimize your speed in heavy or moderate rain to prevent accidents (e.g. falling).

How the waterproofness of Segway S PLUS？
IP54 for unit, IPx6 for battery assembly (Resistant to dust, water, spill), Dust proof: Prevent the foreign material get in completely, but the amount of dust that get in will not affect all the boards of unit’s working, even though it cannot prevent all the dust get in at all. Waterproof: Can not prevent all the water get in at all, don’t wash it with water directly but could use wet cloth wash.

How to keep safe if you are in danger when riding Segway S PLUS?

Segway S PLUS use vacuum tire that hard to blow up when punctured and you could ride for distances because it will leak slowly that keep you safe.

Segway S PLUS’s weight is 16.3kg, Adults can be easy to lift up. You can learn how to do it in 3 minutes and easy control. The endurance mileage can reach 32km by 75kg rider weight,25℃,15kmh average speed at smooth road, and use LG sells of Li-ion battery. the Max speed can reach 20kmh.
Why is there any dust or use mark when you open the new box of Segway S PLUS?
Every Ninebot product need to riding test by tester before factory to ensure every product match the requirement of quality standard.
What the requirement for rider when riding Segway S PLUS？
The Recommended Age is 16-60 years, the recommended height 130-200cm (4’3”–6’6”).
Can Segway S PLUS turn on when charging？
Segway S PLUS cannot turn on or riding when charging; That will cause charger and body damaged.
The payload is25-100kg, Can I still ride it if the weight over 100kg.
The out power will be larger as the weight over 100kg, but you still can use it, but don’t speed up or down in sudden, riding smoothly. In addition, the grade ability and overstepping ability decreased, you can ride it normally on flat road for this kind of weight.
What material of Segway S PLUS? How long does the battery charging? what the lifetime of the battery?
S0egway S PLUS use Li-ion battery; the nominal power of charger is 120W and cost 4-6hours to charging from 0% to100%, the lifetime of battery remains above 60% after charging 500times.Please avoid using it at -10℃ below or above 50℃ and -20℃ below or above 50℃ for
storage. Please charging battery full if do not use over 30days and store in a cool dry place. The battery’s lift span will be extended that charging every 90days, you can use more than 2 years even if ride 30km.
Whether the Segway S PLUS’s battery can be disassembled?

What kind of tire of Segway S PLUS? How to pump it
Segway S PLUS use anti-slip vacuum tube, magnalium hub. The effect for anti-slip and damping is good and the air pressure is 40psi.
How to control the headlight? The headlight will be lighted in the day?
Segway S PLUS consider the riding safety in dark environment fully that equip with auto light and led brake light. The light can light up the front road to know road condition. The light will be adjusted according to environment brightness. The farthest irradiation distance is 5m and can setting switch by APP meanwhile.
How about the passing ability for different road condition and obstacle？
Segway S PLUS use 11inch tire that better stability and passing ability than 6~8inch solid tire.
Is this normal that lift up Segway S PLUS but no balance after lay down sometimes?
It is normal. You must lay down vertically that can be keep balance when lift up and lay down. This vehicle does not test the message from lift up to lay down if lay down too fast or too slow that cannot judge the state for lift up or lay down, you need to hold the vehicle up to step the foot mate or reopen the unit.
Is it normal that Segway S PLUS can run about by itself when get off the vehicle?
When the vehicle foretake or backward automatically when get off the Plus that can try to connect with APP and make sure the Reset to Default Balancing Point (-0.8).
Why does this design for lean back of speed limit that feeling no safe？
It is impossible to use mechanical brake, only change the center of gravity to brake that the vehicle will lean back when overspeed and alarm to slow down. Please practice smoothly and do not accelerate that will be easy to fall down and be injured.

If your phone can support Ninebot APP that can connect with the vehicle. Set app password can prevent others connect with your vehicle. It is better not to set password 000000 that can connect with vehicle without add any password.
What functions does Segway S PLUS ‘s APP do?
There is dashboard, intelligent diagnosis, parts store, self-service, Lights Settings, Follow Mode Settings etc.
Where can download Ninebot APP and what the requirement for phone?
You can scan the QR code in specification, official website, cue cards or broadside of steering bar to download Ninebot APP, the firmware of Android 4.3 or above, Bluetooth4.0 above. The firmware of IOS 8.0 or above and bluetooth4.0 or above.
Is there security model for Segway S PLUS can it be found by GPS if lose?
Segway S PLUS can lock by APP, the unit will shake and alarm if someone attempt to move or ride it. The function of lock cannot be a real security in consideration of the unit is small and easy to lift up. Segway S PLUS have no function of GPS that cannot find it by GPS, it is best way to security that do not leave it my sight.
Why update newest firmware of APP failed？
Ninebot APP need to update the newest firmware from web server when updating. But it may fail to update it if the network of phone is not stabilized, the distance between phone and unit is far.
Why Segway S PLUS have an alarm when backward, is it normal?
It is normal. The firmware adds backward alarm and brake light showing that avoid the rider use
it on opposite side; because it is easy to fall down that the direction of turning is opposite to the normal one.
Segway S PLUS is affected at low temperature when riding it?
Yes, the output battery power output is 100% at 25, but that will descend to 80% when the temperature is 0℃. So slow down the speed and do not accelerate to keep safety.
The unit still running when jump off at high speed, if can stop quickly when jump off?
The unit will turn to assistance mode when the people jump off that the motor cannot stop immediately, or it can not push or remote control it. Of course, the speed of assistance mode is lower than riding mode that will slowly stop for a moment (expect for downhill path)
Which side of charger plug in first when charging?
Connect charger to unit first and then charger to power supply, or the charger port have spark phenomenon when plug in.
Why Segway S PLUS auto-turn around at slopes?
In order to improve the comfort when riding at slopes, the steering bar no turning at vertical angle.
When Segway S PLUS need to pump
The air pressure is enough if the shape of thread arc or that need to pump it. Segway S PLUS use vacuum tire and the standard air pressure is 40psi.
It is normal for 65kg when “Didi "sound happens?
The minimum weight for rider is 25kg, the foot sensor will not be working that cannot turn to assistance mode if the rider’s under 25kg.
Why direction of turn to is opposite when turn?
Please make sure the direction is correct or not when you get on (The dashboard side is front). And it is dangerous that easy to fall down.

A phone call will affect the control of Segway S PLUS when control it by APP?
Segway S PLUS will be in uncontrolled by APP when have a phone call, it will slowly stop at flat road; it needs external force to stop when at slopes. So please artificially control the unit to avoid damage at slopes when have a phone call.
Note: Please control PLUS in the place where few people, open, flat pavement.
Why S PLUS react slow when control by APP or remote control?
The power output of Segway S PLUS is very large and can reach high speed. The output of power has been set very small in order to keep safer when control it.
Is it normal that backward or alarm occurred when riding Segway S PLUS ?
There is backward and alarm that the unit reach max speed or over max speed and reach the limit speed. It is normal design that keep rider safe and just slow down when it happens.
Why the footmate of Segway S PLUS tilted when riding?
1) It is a protection mechanism by titled slowly to avoid speed to reach the max that cause danger because over speed. The unit will title if the speed reach or over 18km/h.
2) Make sure the unit have been activated by APP, if not the vehicle will happen “Didi” sound when step on it that will title even if at low speed.
3) Please make sure the speed limit has been settled if title at low speed, see the logo of speed limit is light or not on the dashboard.
4) Please check the power level if all above solution cannot resolve it, it is normal if the power level under 30% that will happen title phenomenon.
5) It could be attitude sensor issues if all above attempts failed, pls try to click “Attitude sensor” from “Setting” to calibration.
How to resolve the feeling of steering bar loosen after using a period time？
Try to fasten the screws of steering that below keens control or call.
What the reason that the led of charger always show green and cannot charge?
First make sure the unit can work normally and check the connection between charger port and body have been plug in or not. Or that will cannot charging normally. It is charger issue if it can work with another charger.
Is it normally that vibration at high speed?
It is normal that vibration reach high speed in 1~2S or please call your local after sale service.
What’s the reason the port of charger spark when charging?
Make sure that the charger is connected to the body before connecting the power supply.
There is a spark phenomenon after power on that need to check whether the port is filled with debris or water droplets or connect with your local after sale service.
What’s the reason that hard to turn around or insensitive to turn?
Please follow the follows methods to investigate:
1、Make sure the connection between steering bar and the body is not loose.
2、Make sure the vehicle has been activated successfully and is not in speed limit mode.
3、Make sure the firmware is newest
4)、Connect with APP and find out Automatic Steering Sensitivity Adjustment make sure it was set to automatic.
5）Finally ruled out the air pressure of two wheel are same, or if all the above are excluded it will need a repair..
What are the bad driving habits caused falling down for Segway S PLUS?
1. Riding in the fierce acceleration, the vehicle's output power has reached the limit, can no longer output balance torque that required.
2. The vehicle will lift back to remind slow down when the speed reach the highest the player still
does not slow down to continue to accelerate but the rider still does not slow down and continue to accelerate that cause falling down.
3. Wet elevator metal edge, too high deceleration zone is easily to cause tire slippage and the vehicle lost balance.
4. It is easy to cause new rider falling down at potholes road condition.
Why the speed for voice downloads particularly slow？
Bluetooth download due to the use of BLE4.1 version of the agreement that Every 20ms can only send 20 bytes, so the general duration is 10 to 20 minutes.
