What is Ninebot Gokart Pro?
Ninebot Gokart Pro is a stylish sports and entertainment equipment, which can be separated into a Gokart frame and a self-balancing vehicle. You can also assemble the body of the self-balancing vehicle into Ninebot S-Max.
Who should drive?
Ninebot Gokart Pro is suitable for age 14+, for height 130-190cm and the Maximum load is 100kg. 2 or more people are not allowed to ride. Minors should only drive under adult supervision. Helmet and protective gear must be worn when driving Ninebot Gokart Pro.
Ninebot S-Max riding safety
The manufacturer recommends riders be 16-60 years old, for height 130-200cm and weight 40-100kg. To ensure your personal safety, drive gently as required and do not accelerate or decelerate violently.

How does the self-balancing vehicle on Gokart Pro switch to Balancing Vehicle Mode?
Install the App on your mobile device (iOS 9.0 or above, Android™ 4.3 or above, Bluetooth 4.1 or above), connect to the S-Max with Bluetooth, and follow the App instructions to activate your S-Max and follow the training procedures.
How to drive Gokart Pro?
1. Fastening the seat belt
Sitting on the seat, buckle the left and right parts of the seat belt in front of you.
2. Driving
1) Wake up: slightly press the left pedal and then release.
* Wake up is needed before every drive or the Gokart is idle for 15 seconds.
2) Deceleration: lightly press the brake (left pedal) to decelerate.
3) Steering: steer the Gokart by slightly turning the steering wheel clockwise or counterclockwise
3. Reversing
When the Gokart is stopped, double-press the brake (left pedal). After you hear a beep, the Gokart has switched to reverse mode. Press the throttle to drive the Gokart in reverse.
Double-press the brake (left pedal) again to return to forward mode
4. Emergency braking
In the event of a situation that requires an emergency stop, pull the hand brake handle on the right side of the Gokart to engage the emergency brake.
* Only use the emergency brake when necessary. Frequent use can deform the tire.
How to ride Ninebot S-Max?
a. Go to a large open area and ask a friend to assist you on your first ride.
* Always step on/off from the back of the vehicle.
b. Lightly place one foot on the foot mat, while keeping your other foot on the ground holding your weight. Do not press the steering bar with your leg.
c. Slowly transfer your weight onto the S-Max. The unit will beep, indicating it is now in Balance Mode. Slowly step on with your other foot.
d. Stand with your weight evenly distributed on both feet and relax, looking straight ahead. Avoid rocking violently back and forth.
e. Gently lean your body forward and backward to control your movement.
f. To turn, gently lean left or right against the steering bar.

What is the purpose of the adapter pad of self-balancing vehicle?
Located under the frame, mounted on the self-balancing vehicle foot pad.
What is the purpose of the attached wrenches that come with Gokart Pro?
5mm short hex wrench (adjust the length of the frame), 4mm long hex wrench (remove the knee control) and 2.5mm small hex wrench (install the rear spoiler).
What is the purpose of Ninebot Engine Speaker?
The attached engine speaker can be connected to the vehicle to simulate four kinds of sound effects. It can also be connected to the mobile phone through Bluetooth to make a Bluetooth speaker.
Driving instructions
1. Gokart Pro is not a means of transportation. Please abide by local laws, regulations and policies when driving.
2. Please start smoothly on a flat road and do not exceed the speed limit. Please do not accelerate or slow down suddenly or brake sharply. Please do not exceed Gokart’s limiting speed of driving, otherwise there is a risk of loss of control, collision.
3. In order to reduce the risk of injury, please fasten your seat belt before driving. Please stay alert while driving and keep good judgment. Drive at a proper speed, keep a safe distance from other vehicles at all times, and slow down when entering unfamiliar surroundings.
What size are the tires on Gokart Pro?
The front wheel is non-inflatable hollow tire, tire width 80mm, flat ratio 60%. The rear tire width is 68mm, 10 × 2.75 inch, hollow solid tire.
How is the waterproof performance of Gokart Pro, could it ride in the rain?
Ninebot Gokart Pro machine protection level is IPX4. It is prohibited to ride outside in rainy days, for your personal safety, it is not recommended to ride outside in any other bad weather.
What are the main material qualities of Gokart Pro?
Ninebot Gokart Pro appearance plastic parts are mainly made of PC materials, including PC+ABS, PP, PA6+GF and other materials. The frame is made of steel.
Why does the new vehicle have slightly used marks? Is it a refurbished vehicle?
Every Gokart Pro will be tested that all functions are normal before leaving the factory. Only allowed to leave the factory to ensure that each product meets Ninebot quality standards. Therefore, the slight dirt / wear of the tire is caused by the road test. It is not a quality problem and is not a refurbished product. Please feel free to use it.
6 Stretch the frame and adjust the length of the body
a. With both hands holding the steering wheel and the seat, stretch the frame out to a suitable position along the horizontal direction of the connection tube.
b. Align the scalable structure of the frame with the marking on the connection tube.
c. Positioning: Use the short hex wrench (on the left side of the seat) to press the two screws into the holes on the left and right connection tube in order. (The screw is set to a depth of about 1 cm for successful position)
d .Tighten the 4 screws.
Why is the frame chassis so low that it can cross a standard road bump?
In order to prevent overturns from causing sharp turning, the chassis is designed to be low, with a minimum ground height of 40mm. It is recommended that the driver get off the vehicle and push the vehicle over the speed reduction belt to avoid hitting the chassis to damage the vehicle.
(Front & Rear) What to do if the frame couldn’t be pulled out?
Due to the collision prevention during transportation, the Gokart Pro will be tight when it shrinks to the minimum state. It is recommended that two people pull the front and rear frames with their hands.
How to deal with the friction between manual brake and self-balancing vehicle tires?
Because the Gokart Mode requires higher rear tire friction, so it is necessary to release a part of the rear tire air, at this time will not rub the handbrake and the rear tire friction is the optimal state.
Gokart Pro front cabin indicator light doesn’t work?
The front cabin indicator may not be ON because the front circuit board is not powered on. The cause may be because of:
a. Forget to install 6 No.5 dry batteries, install the batteries.
b. Power extension cable is not connected, or the power extension cable is loose, reconnect them.
What to do if the braking effect of manual brake is poor?
It can be solved by following below process:
a. Check whether the tires of the Ninebot Max are worn out. If so, replace the tire.
b. Check if the handbrake spring is deformed. If so, replace the handbrake spring;
c. Tighten the screws on the bottom of the brake lever.
How to adjust if the front wheel skew after continuous riding?
Please follow the steps below to adjust:
a. Adjust the length of the steering rod to about 232mm to solve the wheel skew.
b. Reinstall the left and right hub assemblies.
After the two screws are loosened, the black hexagonal connecting rod can be tightened to fine-tune the steering system. After adjusting, tighten the screws.
Why is there a "click" sound when braking?
If the test drive has just been completed, it may be caused by the adapter pad not being in place and suddenly falling when riding; while acceleration and deceleration “squeaking” sounds is there that because there is a certain gap between the adapter pad and the Ninebot Max. Back-and-forth shaking will inevitably cause vibration, which will not affect normal use. Try to avoid rapid acceleration and deceleration; choose a flat road surface to reduce this situation.
How long does the front wheel of Gokart Pro can be used?
As the front wheel is non-inflatable hollow tire, the tire width is 80mm and the flatness ratio is 60%. The contact area with the ground is large, so it is easy to be worn. The service life of the front tire is relatively low, but it can still be used for about 800km. If you find that the tires are damaged, we recommend that you should contact Ninebot after sales service to purchase the front tire for replacement.

How waterproof is Ninebot Max?

How long will Ninebot Max automatically power off after riding?
If the car is not powered off after riding, the alarm will beep after 10 minutes, and it will become more and more rapid. Then it will automatically power off to save energy, and the Max body may lose its balance and fall down.
What type of tire does Ninebot Max tire use? How to pump up?
Ninebot Max uses non-inflatable solid tires, which do not need to be pumped up.
The ambient light and headlight of Ninebot Max are abnormal or not on?
The light switch can be set in the App. Please confirm that the light switch has been turned on in the App.
Viewing method: After connecting the vehicle with App, click on the upper left corner of the main page - Light effect Settings – turn on the required light effect.
In addition, the headlight is an induction lamp, which only lights up when the external environment is dark. Therefore, it will not light up if the headlight is turned on in the App during the day when there is sufficient light.
There is a deviation in rotation of Max, and leans forward and backward significantly when riding?
If the attitude sensor of the self-balancing vehicle is not in the horizontal state, it shall be operated according to one of the following methods:
1. Connect the vehicle with the mobile App, enter "Setting" - "Sensor Setting" and click "Attitude Sensor calibration", perform sensor calibration as prompted, and power on the vehicle again to check whether it is restored to balance.
2. Stand the vehicle upside down, put the foam leg pad on the ground, press the power button to start the vehicle, wait 2-3 seconds, you will hear a "beep", and then immediately hear two "beep" indicating that the vehicle calibration is complete (Note: this operation will be used when the sensor calibration fails).
If the above cannot remove the fault, please contact after-sales for repair.
Is it normal that there will be no balance occasionally after Max is lifted and then put down?
This is a normal phenomenon. After powering on, lift it up and then put it down. The balance can be automatically restored only when the vehicle is put down vertically. When the vehicle is lying down or the deviation Angle is too large, the balance cannot be automatically restored.
Is the wheel rotation normal when the Ninebot Max is lifted?
Why does the pedal of Ninebot Max tilt backward when riding?
here are several reasons for the vehicle to tilt backward during riding:
1) Caused by excessively fast riding speed. When the driving speed is over or close to 20km/h, the vehicle tilts backward by the pedal with an alarm sound to prompt the driver to slow down, which is a vehicle safety protection mechanism. In order to ensure personal safety, please do not drive excessive speed or accelerate sharply.
2) Due to excessive acceleration of the vehicle, when the center of gravity leans forward more than 5°, the vehicle will tilt backward through the pedal with an alarm sound to prompt the driver to slow down acceleration, which is a vehicle safety protection mechanism. In order to ensure personal safety, please do not accelerate rapidly.
3) Speed limit for vehicles. If you feel that the vehicle starts to tilt backward when the speed is slow, please confirm whether the "speed limit mode" is turned on. To confirm, please check whether the "speed limit" sign on the vehicle dashboard is steady on. If it is steady on, please turn off the speed limit mode in the App.
4) The low electric power of the vehicle leads to this phenomenon. Check the remaining electric power of the vehicle. When the electric power is less than 30%, there will be different amplitude of leaning back, which is a normal phenomenon. Please charge it in time.
Why does the Ninebot Max turn in the opposite direction when riding?
This is because the direction of the vehicle is reversed. Please confirm the direction of the vehicle when getting on the vehicle (the side with the display panel is the front).
Note: Reverse riding the vehicle is easy to cause danger, need to adjust in timeWhy is the Ninebot Max not sensitive to steering?
Check as follows:
1) Confirm that the connection between the knee control and the vehicle body is not loose;
2) Ensure that the vehicle has been successfully activated and is not in speed limiting mode;
3) Open the App to connect the vehicle on the setting page, check "Steering sensitivity" in "Sensor Settings" and set it to "Automatic" mode.
If the above methods cannot be solved, you need to contact the after-sales service for repair.
Alarm when the Ninebot Max is backing up?
This phenomenon is a normal, adding backward alarm and brake light display is to avoid the operator reverse driving the self-balancing vehicle.
It doesn't feel safe to tilt backward to limit the speed of Ninebot Max. Why does the vehicle rely on tilt backward the pedal to limit the speed?
The principle of self-balancing vehicle determines that it is impossible to have mechanical brake. Therefore, when the speed reaches the upper limit, the center of gravity can be shifted backward to achieve the purpose of slowing down. During riding, it is necessary to avoid violent pedal warping caused by rapid acceleration.
Cabin of Ninebot Max is displayed abnormally?
The firmware version of the vehicle body should be updated first, and power on and off again. If the problem still cannot be solved, please contact the after-sales service 4006070001 for repair.
How to calibrate the Ninebot Max?
Connect the vehicle to the App to adjust the balance point, the operation procedure: click the upper left corner of the main page - Device settings - Sensor settings - Assist mode balance point, the positive direction represents the vehicle leaning forward, the negative direction represents the vehicle leaning back, adjust according to your actual needs. Or power on the vehicle upside down for 3 seconds, and then turn it on upright.
Gokart Pro modes introduction, how to choose the mode that suits you?
Gokart Pro has four driving modes. After the vehicle is connected to the App, scroll down to the “Mode selection” on the app home page to switch.
Safe Mode (Maximum Speed: 8km / H);
New Rider Mode (Maximum Speed: 18km / H);
Sport Mode (Maximum Speed: 24km / H);
Track Mode (Maximum Speed: 40km / H)
How to lift the speed limit of New rider mode?
After completing all the beginner tutorial, you can unlock the Maximum speed of 18km/h through the App Setting Novice Mode, and when the cumulative driving range exceeds 1000 meters, you can set the Maximum speed mode through the App.
Why does Gokart Pro automatically start moving forward/tilts backward after installation?
If the self-balancing vehicle does not switch to "Gokart Mode", it will cause moving forward/back due to the center of gravity in front/facing backward after powering on. And Gokart Pro cannot be upgraded, the throttle and brake will not operate. Before assembling Gokart Pro, please perform the following operations on the self-balancing vehicle:
1) Open the App, search and connect your self-balancing vehicle.
2) App interface upper left corner – “Mode selection” – “Gokart Mode”. On self-balancing vehicle settings page, click "Gokart Mode" and power it on.
Note: It is forbidden to sit on the self-balancing vehicle without upgrading it separately to prevent injuries caused by sudden acceleration resulting from the balance point of the self-balancing vehicle that is too offset.
How to adjust the lights of Gokar Pro?
The light switch can be set in the Segway-Ninebot App, you need to confirm that the light switch has been turned on in the App.
Viewing method: After the mobile app connects to the vehicle, click the upper left corner of the home page - Lighting effect settings - turn on the desired lighting effect. The headlight is an induction light, which will only be lit when the external environment is dark, so when the ambient brightness is sufficient during the day, the headlight will not be lit when the front light is turned on in the App.
The taillight needs to be connected with App to the self-balancing vehicle to adjust the ambient light switch and mode.
How to Bluetooth remote control the self-balancing vehicle?
1. Open the App and connect the self-balancing vehicle.
2. Click the R/C icon.
3. Drag the virtual handle to control your self-balancing vehicle.
* Do not ride when the self-balancing vehicle is set to R/C Mode. Riding may cause serious injury or serious damage to the vehicle. In R/C mode, the Maximum speed is 7km/h, but you can adjust the Maximum speed through the App. The Bluetooth connection range of the self-balancing vehicle is 10-15 meters. Out of Bluetooth connection range, R/C mode will automatically disconnect.
How to activate a new Gokart Pro?
For your first time using Gokart Pro, there will be a Beginner tutorial on Segway-Ninebot App. Please follow the prompts to do activation operation.
How to upgrade Ninebot Gkart Pro firmware? What does a firmware upgrade do?
Please perform the prompts in Segway-Ninebot App to upgrade the Gokart Pro firmware;
Firmware upgrading will improve the use of the vehicle as well as fix related bugs.
How to switch back to Balancing Vehicle Mode?
a. App cannot switch the mode of the self-balancing vehicle when connected to the Gokart Pro, so the connection between the self-balancing vehicle and the Gokart should be disconnected first.
b. App searches and reconnects the self-balancing vehicle and can switch to Balancing vehicle mode in Settings.
Why does App show deflection between Mileage and actual mileage?
There is an error in the reference GPS mileage comparison. This is normal phenomenon. The actual riding conditions are not ideal, and there will be differences in driving mileage.
What to do if there is a problem with the App connection / upgrading / activation?
If the Bluetooth connection fails: there is a high probability of poor Bluetooth adaptation of Samsung / Huawei mobile phones, please try to connect your mobile phone close to the middle cabin again; replace other mainstream phone models and try again.
If the new rider tutorial cannot be downloaded and the Gokart Pro initialization fails. First, switch the network to ensure smooth network. How to solve if the Bluetooth is unable to search?
Why is the new Ninebot Max riding speed limited and beeping?
Since the new vehicle is not activated, it is in the speed limit state. You need to download App and connect your S-Max to activate it before it can be used. The unactivated S-Max will appear continuous "beep" alarm during startup and use.
How does Gokart Pro brake during riding?
Two kinds of deceleration mode:
Mechanical braking -- Pull the handbrake up;
Electronic braking -- Press the brake pedal with your left foot.
Throttle power output is unstable, what’s the problem?
Unstable throttle acceleration power output is mainly caused by two reasons:
a When riding for a long time, the battery temperature will gradually increase, the vehicle will trigger the power protection mechanism, the output power will decrease, and the power to step on the accelerator will become weak.
b When you drive the GoKart Pro continuously, the overcurrent protection mechanism will be triggered, and the output power will decrease for 5-10s, after which the power output returns to normal.
Why does Ninebot Gokart Pro is un-balanced after dismantling of Gokart Pro Kit?
The Ninebot Max is in "Gokart Pro Mode", so it cannot ride normally. After connecting to the App, you will be prompted to exit the "Gokart Pro Mode". Click OK to exit. If not prompted, enter the setting interface and switch it to “Balancing Vehicle Mode” manually.
Why does the actual speed does not reach to the speed value displayed by App?
There are several reasons for this:
1.Please check whether there is something stuck in the front and rear wheels, and check whether the front fender fall off and jammed in the front wheel, which causes interference and leads to big difference in speed.
2. Speed slows down on uphill sections.
3.Too low battery of S-Max causing speed limit.
How to judge Gokart Pro braking distance is normal?
Gokart Pro brake standard is 75kg for test riders, 20km / h, and asphalt road. It is normal to have a brake distance about 6 meters when left foot is pressed to the bottom of the brake. And the manual brake handle is emergency braking. Pulling the brake handle can immediately achieve the braking effect. If the braking distance is too long and fails in this condition, it can be judged as abnormal, and you may need to contact the after-sales service.
Why does Gokart Pro suddenly failed to respond, and it can't be solved by Switching ON and OFF the Gokart Pro?
1. The blue indicator blinks alternately. Please remove the 6 dry batteries of Gokart Pro and reinstall it. The reason was that the mid-cabin control board entered the dead cycle state by mistake;
2. Dry battery voltage is low or dead, please replace all 6 dry batteries. Be careful not to mix different brands, old and new batteries, to avoid failure to start or restart.
3. After the Gokart Pro locks, the throttle & brake will not respond, the purpose is to ensure the safety of riding and just unlock it.
